Mechanism (brief)

Irreversible MAOI increasing serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine.

Metabolism & Half‑life

• Metabolism: CYP2A6 and CYP2C19, rapid onset due to amphetamine-like structure.
• Half‑life: ~2 h (pharmacodynamic effect 7 days).

• Blood pressure and heart rate (risk of hypertensive crisis) — Baseline and each visit
