• Primary labeling sources (DailyMed/FDA prescribing information).
• Clinical guidelines and consensus statements (when relevant).
• Peer-reviewed trials, meta-analyses, and reviews to clarify use cases and edge cases.

Audience and tone

PsychMed is written for patients and caregivers reading alongside clinicians. We try to lead with plain-language explanations (what a medication is, what it is used for, and what to watch for) and then add clinician-focused detail (dose ranges, monitoring specifics, interactions, and citations). We avoid individualized treatment recommendations and use neutral phrasing such as “Label indicates…”, “Guidelines recommend…”, or “Clinicians often consider…”.

What “last reviewed” means

Drug pages display a “last reviewed” date based on the most recent content audit and available source metadata. This date is a freshness signal—not a guarantee that labeling has not changed since.

Editing and review

• We prefer verifiable statements (dose ranges, boxed warnings, renal/hepatic adjustments) that map to sources.
• When claims involve nuance (e.g., comparative tolerability), we try to link to higher-quality evidence.
• We update structured data (schema.org JSON‑LD) so search engines can interpret pages consistently.

Corrections

If you believe something is incorrect, email admin@psychmed.org with the page URL, the statement in question, and a supporting source (when possible). We prioritize corrections involving dosing, contraindications, interactions, boxed warnings, and safety monitoring.
